About Stephen C. Beasley

Stephen C. Beasley is a highly successful corporate executive and industry leader with over 35 years of diverse management experience in the energy and chemical industries. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eaton Group Inc., an executive solutions and strategic investment firm. Until 2008, he served as President of El Paso Corporation’s Eastern Pipeline Group and was a member of El Paso Corporation’s nine-member Corporate Executive Committee. In his role, Beasley was Chairman and President of Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company and ANR Pipeline Company – two of the largest and most complex natural gas transmission systems in the United States, which collectively transported nearly 15% of all of the natural gas consumed in the US. He also served on the Boards of Directors for two of El Paso Corporation’s joint venture companies – Great Lakes Transmission and Gasoductos de Chihuahua; and served on the Boards of Directors for the Southern Gas Association (SGA) and the Northeast Gas Association (NGA).


Before assuming this role, Beasley held a number of positions with El Paso Corporation and Tenneco Energy including Vice President of Marketing for Tennessee Gas Pipeline; Vice President of Tenneco International Development, where he managed Tenneco’s interest in the BTB Group, the international consortium that sponsored the world’s largest Greenfield project – the Bolivia to Brazil natural gas pipeline; Director of Marketing, Sales, and Communications for Tenneco Gas Marketing (Tenneco’s non-jurisdictional merchant affiliate company); and Director of Marketing and Transportation Services for Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company. Prior to joining Tenneco Energy, Beasley worked for FMC Corporation where he held various sales, sales management, and marketing positions in the company’s Industrial Chemical and Petroleum Equipment Groups.


Beasley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.


Beasley is currently serving on the corporate board of directors for BPZ Resources, Inc. (NYSE: BPZ), an international exploration and production (E&P) company with primary operations in South America, SandRidge Energy, Inc. (NYSE: SD), an independent U.S oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) company, and Space Services Holdings, Inc., a privately-held company focused on the commercialization of space. He previously served as an outside corporate director on the Boards of Directors for Williams Pipeline Partners L.P. (NYSE: WMZ), Southern Union Company (NYSE: SUG) and C Sixty Inc., a privately-held nano-biotechnology company.


Beasley is highly involved in the community with personal leadership roles in addition to philanthropic support of educational and community causes. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Briarwood-Brookwood, Inc. which includes The Brookwood Community (serving adults with functional disabilities), and The Briarwood School (a private K-12 school for children with learning disabilities). He is also on the Development and/or Advisory Boards for The University of Texas at Austin, The University of Texas at Austin College of Natural Sciences, and The University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston (UTHealth). He previously served as Chairman of the Board for INROADS/Houston and Target Hunger (a Houston-based United Way agency); and is a founding member of the UT Austin Diversity and Community Engagement Advisory Council.
